Fun DavidsTea Matcha Drink Recipes

As much as I love DavidsTea teas on their own, I especially love trying them in different recipes I find on the DavidsTea blog. Today I sharing two matcha drink recipes that I really enjoyed and I think are perfect for summer.

Strawberry Matcha Iced Green Tea Latte Recipe

Included in this article with three iced tea recipes is a recipe for a strawberry matcha iced green tea latte. It uses strawberry matcha, milk, and sweetened condensed milk. I made it in the DavidsTea Matcha Maker and dumped the last of my strawberry matcha sample in, so I don’t think the measurement were exactly right. Regardless, it was still a delicious and fun iced latte. The sweetened condensed milk is very sweet but has a good flavor that blends really well with the strawberry matcha.

The recipe says you can swap out the strawberry matcha for your favorite fruity matcha, so I also tried it with blueberry matcha. I found this iced matcha latte to be similar to the strawberry one, but not quite as sweet or strongly flavored. The blueberry flavor also didn’t blend quite as well with the sweetened condensed milk compared to the strawberries and cream vibes of the strawberry matcha latte.

Peach Matcha Lemonade Signature Beverage Recipe

The peach matcha lemonade was a signature beverage in DavidsTea stores at some point, but I never had a chance to try it at the time. Thankfully, it’s super easy to make at home—just whisk the peach matcha, pour over ice, and add lemonade. Once again, I used less water and possibly more matcha than the recipe, along with a 12 ounce glass instead of a 16 ounce one which led to less lemonade, but it still worked really well. It definitely needed to be mixed to get the full effect of the flavors, but the peach flavor of the matcha works so well with lemonade. I didn’t love the peach matcha as a latte because of a slightly artificial flavor, but that was significantly reduced in this matcha lemonade drink. DavidsTea actually recommends a few ways to jazz up the peach matcha lemonade, and I might just have to get more peach matcha and try them out.

So, What’s The Tea?

Usually when I try DavidsTea recipes, I end up saying that they are good but not worth making again. These two recipes are 100% an exception to the rule. I will definitely be making a peach matcha lemonade again, hopefully with some of the recommended twists. I don’t think I’m going to rush to make the strawberry matcha latte quite as fast, but I will definitely return to it at some point. I’m even thinking of trying both recipes with some more matcha flavors.
